All-States traces its roots back to 1963 when the original company that
produced molds, tools and dies was incorporated as All-States Plastic
Manufacturing Co. Their first product line was injection-molded nylon
cable clamps. In 1968, they created, patented and began manufacturing the
country's first one-piece all nylon cable tie. Prior to this, industry
cable ties had been "two-piece" with either a separate inserted metal
pawl or a two-piece all-nylon design. Other manufacturers quickly
followed their lead, and today, the one-piece cable tie is the industry
standard.
