Today Imaginary Landscape launched a new microsite dedicated to its primary technology platform used to build websites. Accessible at chicagopython.com and chicagodjango.com, the new site goes behind the curtain to offer a deep look at the technology used by Imaginary Landscape to create comprehensive websites.
"Our main site speaks to a general Web audience. As such it takes on a more serious and inclusive voice," said Brian Moloney, managing partner of Imaginary Landscape. "With our new site, we can flex our technology muscle and speak to a very specific audience."
The new site includes deep information on the Python programming language and the Django Web development framework, which are two emerging open source standards for creating complex websites. Also launched within the new site is a new technology blog dedicated to discussing topics of interest to the Python and Django communities.
"We also wanted to have a little fun," continued Moloney. "The mascot for Django is a pink winged pony and the mascot for Python is a snake, so we used these themes to have some laughs and make sure people know we don't take ourselves too seriously."
The new site can be reached through chicagodjango.com or chicagopython.com.
