Because it's better when your Web site speaks your language
We share a certain affinity and passion for the language of Python. Before we even begin to talk about your Web site, there is already peer respect on a tech-to-tech level. We combine that head start with a serious multidisciplinary Web team that includes user interface specialists, designers, project managers, developers, systems administration, suits and even a touch of gray hair (just a touch). In fact, each member of our sales team has a technical degree (and, man can they talk).
Open Source, since the beginning
We've always been deeply rooted in open source - right back to our beginning in 1995. Our range of experience has spanned a wide range of technologies - including FreeBSD, PHP, Zope, Paste, MySQL and even Perl (cut us some slack here, it was the mid-90's!) - before we graduated to our current platform of Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL and Python.
Throughout the past 13 years, we've quietly contributed money, programming and staff time to the open source community. In fact, we are in the final process of open sourcing our Job Board application in response to a need of the PyCon site. The Job Board is written in Python (of course) using Django.
Python Development since 1999
Python is the primary development language for Imaginary Landscape. And it
has been for 9 years, long before its current popularity. Our first Python
project dates back to 1999 - a fee-based job posting and application submission function with ecommerce. Back then, we saw something special in the language - special enough to
take the road less traveled and make it our primary programming
language.
How we can help
We address the full spectrum of Web development, including design, usability, layout, interface, database, programming, systems and hosting. Each aspect of our services is modular so we can adapt to your particular needs. If you are a little light in one or more of these aspects, we'd like to talk and maybe set up a time to meet at PyCon.
