Imaginary Landscape, a leading Web design, development and management firm, in partnership with OSF Healthcare System, a top-rated integrated health care network of medical services, announced the launch of 14 Python-powered mobile websites for its hospitals and related entities. All sites were deployed simultaneously, utilizing Imaginary Landscape’s multi-site platform.
By creating mobile-specific sites, OSF is able to focus its efforts on the best mobile presentation without sacrificing the rich, interactive experience of their full websites. The new mobile websites provide the quickest, fastest and most accurate information in a well-designed format to make it easy for mobile users to get the information they need using their preferred device.
“The popularity of mobile devices is growing at an incredible rate. We wanted to ensure that OSF Healthcare System websites continued providing an exceptional experience to all users, whatever device they prefer to use,” said James Farrell, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications of OSF Healthcare System. “Imaginary’s mobile experience and multi-site capabilities makes it easy for all our sites to deliver content to mobile audiences.”
The new OSF mobile sites will automatically detect mobile-based browsers and deliver the site in a streamlined mobile design. Users will have the option of switching between the mobile site and the full site, based upon their preference.
"We've invested significant time and resources in understanding the underlying technology and usability of mobile delivery," said Brian Moloney, managing partner of Imaginary Landscape. "To do it well, you must balance the number and variety of devices against the different contexts in which mobile delivery is helpful for customers."
Imaginary Landscape’s innovative, install-once-deploy-often multi-site platform allows for the creation and maintenance of multiple websites across enterprises such as healthcare systems, bank holding companies and multinational corporations. The platform is written in the Python programming language.
“Today’s organizations must support many websites, whether for product lines, subsidiaries or locations. Our system is designed to syndicate content, functionality and design elements across a large number of websites,” said Moloney. “The system provides superb scalability with an extremely competitive cost per site.”
