Imaginary Landscape is pleased to announce an enhanced healthcare resource directory service for Mattoon, Ill.-based Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center’s Community Online Resource Directory (CORD). CORD is a free healthcare directory for finding physical, mental, financial, legal and information services in the communities surrounding Sarah Bush Lincoln.
Utilizing the Django web development framework, Imaginary created several new features which improved the accuracy and searchability of the directory. Enhancements included autocomplete search suggestions, map-based geographical search and the ability to select multiple agencies and batch print their information. These improvements make accessing the right resources easy.
As a rural hospital, it is important for Sarah Bush Lincoln to guide its community toward the best and closest healthcare resources throughout its large service area. The CORD directory database consists of 100 agencies representing 583 programs serving the residents of eight counties.
“Imaginary has been an integral part of our online CORD initiative from the beginning. When we were ready to add additional features, they jumped right in and improved our patient’s experience,” states Laura Bollan, Director of Healthy Communities at Sarah Bush Lincoln.
In addition, Imaginary added back-end enhancements to keep the information up-to-date and accurate. Imaginary added an automatic email alert system to remind local agencies to review and update their information listed in CORD. A timestamp is auto-generated by the system that documents when content was last modified.
“Having a way to keep the content in the resource directory both current and relevant to a patient’s search query was an important factor in the development process. The automated alerts are an effective way to keep content fresh and ensure the community is receiving the latest information,” said Brian Moloney, President & CEO of Imaginary Landscape.
